This Women’s History Month, we are proud to celebrate the remarkable women making an impact in our community and within our organization.
We were honored to welcome Rickell Howard Smith, Esq., President & CEO of YWCA Greater Cincinnati, as the keynote speaker for our second Annual Leadership Luncheon. Her inspiring insights on leadership, equality, and social justice motivate us to grow and lead purposefully.
Hamilton County Commissioners and the Commission on Women & Girls invited our organization to join the 2025 Pay Equity Commitment. The Commitment is a good-faith document that outlines the impact of pay inequity in Hamilton County and offers strategies for organizations to set an example for pay equity. Thank you to Kristee Griffith, Director of Inclusion and Collaboration, who represented HCDDS.
Cincinnati State Women’s Empowerment Network recognized current Board member Dr. Leesha Thrower as one of the 2025 Women of Empowerment. Dr. Thrower joined our board in 2022 and is committed to her community work as a disability advocate, advancing the rights and autonomy of persons with IDD (intellectual and developmental disabilities) in the Greater Cincinnati community.
Superintendent Leia Snyder participated in a Women’s History Month panel highlighting women in leadership. The panel, “Moving Forward Together: Women Educating & Inspiring Future Generations,” featured other female Hamilton County leaders from Environmental Services, Job and Family Services, and county administration.
This month and every month, we are grateful for the leadership and contributions of women in our organization and community. Their commitment and passion continue to inspire us all.
Happy Women’s History Month!
