Wednesday, July 20. 4:30-6:00 p.m.

This 2 ½ hour course is designed for parents and caregivers of children with developmental disabilities, particularly those who are nonverbal or have limited verbal language skills. The instructor will discuss how to develop a functional communication system through pictures and will teach how to encourage initiation, concrete exchange of pictures symbols, and discrimination training of pictures that symbolize spoken language.
