Internet Safety Class

6-7 p.m. Thursday, July 16, on Zoom.

Project CARE, in partnership with Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio, offers an Internet Safety class for adults with disabilities.

The internet is an invaluable tool in nearly every part of life today. Like most things, it’s important to know how to use it safely. For people with disabilities, the internet can provide an accessible way to reduce isolation, build connections with peers, and gain confidence in achieving independence safely. This class will review safe practices for using social media, privacy settings, and how to identify red flags. Join activities that examine several online conversations, decide how safe or unsafe they seem, and discuss why.

Don’t let fear or inexperience keep you from the opportunities and access the internet can provide – Register for the Internet Safety class today!

For adults 18+. Registration and referral are required. Click here to register.

HCDDS is not the host of this event, and details can change; contact the organizer to confirm.
