Learn how to weave Jackie Fisher’s iconic “keychain lanyards” in this FREE workshop. Customize your keychain using different color strings and beads to make it your own. Reflect your identity, rep your favorite colors, or perhaps make a gift for a friend. Join V+V for an evening of fun crafting and good company!

Teaching Artists:

Missy D’Angelo is a Cincinnati-based artist and studio coordinator at V+V. Her work often focuses on silly characters who sometimes are made purely for the joy of creation, while other times they are put into difficult or macabre situations. She comes from a family of artists and art-enthusiasts who fostered her love of making things, which is part of why she feels so at home in the V+V community.

Jackie Fisher

Born and raised in Cincinnati, she has been a part of V+V for over 3 years and has recently graduated from the studio’s intensive Teaching Artist Program, sharing her passion and talent with students at local schools. In her paintings, artist Jackie Fisher weaves a spiderweb-like labyrinth, calling the gaze of her viewer to spiral with her toward the center of her canvas. Jackie says making art helps her clear her head.  She uses repetitive motion to achieve calmness, creating boondongle keychain designs using waxed cord and rope with a box stitch.

Joy Fuel

Joy Fuel is an inclusive workshop series from Visionaries + Voices that celebrates the diverse LGBTQAI+ community in Greater Cincinnati. The free, accessible program provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to express themselves creatively through workshops led by V+V teaching artists. Joy Fuel honors the intersection of disability and LGBTQAI+ identities while creating space for a wide range of talents, perspectives, and experiences.

Joy Fuel is supported by the ArtsWave Pride Grant and the generosity of contributors to the annual ArtsWave Campaign, the region’s primary source of arts funding.
