Spend the afternoon exploring the art of weaving using reclaimed and reusable materials such as fabric scraps and plastic bags to found fibers and unexpected treasures. This all-ages workshop is a hands-on practice in creativity meeting sustainability, and participants will leave with their own unique woven creation! Come weave, experiment and discover the wonder hidden in the everyday.

Teaching Artists

Rowe Schnure is a weaver, facilitator and community connector living and working in Cincinnati, Ohio. They are anchored in a fascination of the weaving process as a metaphor for understanding the relationship of one’s internal and external environments.

Joy Fuel

Joy Fuel is an inclusive workshop series from Visionaries + Voices that celebrates the diverse LGBTQAI+ community in Greater Cincinnati. The free, accessible program provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to express themselves creatively through workshops led by V+V teaching artists. Joy Fuel honors the intersection of disability and LGBTQAI+ identities while creating space for a wide range of talents, perspectives, and experiences.

Joy Fuel is supported by the ArtsWave Pride Grant and the generosity of contributors to the annual ArtsWave Campaign, the region’s primary source of arts funding.
