What makes a good nomination?

Nominations for the 2026 John Romer Advoacy Award are open until June 19.

Hamilton County DD Services is thrilled to recognize exceptional disability advocacy. This award honors people whose advocacy work on behalf of themselves or others has made an impact on our community.

A strong nomination highlights real impact—how this advocate has transformed lives and communities. Did they fight for policy change? Create inclusive programs? Empower others to raise their voices?

Tell their story with specific examples! Need some inspiration? Check out the winning nominations from the past few years.
